Winter Break Careers TreksThe Careers Centre hosted Winter Break Careers Treks in the US featuring student visits to offices in Washington, DC and New York City. The treks were planned in partnership with alumni volunteers, who generously helped to coordinate, lead and welcome students to various organisations. Students were able to meet with professionals, learn about work-place culture, discover career opportunities and internships, and understand the skills and competencies vital to their career journeys.
Students also participated in an alumni-student networking evening social in New York, where we welcomed alumni and friends to share advice with students and help to grow their professional networks. We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the host organisations who made this year’s treks possible: American Foreign Service Association, Bank of New York (BNY), Bass, Berry and Sims, Baxter International, Brookings, Brunswick Group, Citadel, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Five Rings, Leeds Equity Partners, Pencil or Ink, Relativity Space, US Chamber of Commerce, US Department of Commerce, US Department of State, and World Bank. |
