Saints Sport successBoth the Women’s Football 1s team and the Women’s Hockey 1s team have secured league promotions from Scottish 1A to Premier North league. In addition, the Women’s Football 1s retained their She Can She Will Cup title for a second year in a row, while the Women’s Hockey 1s won the Scottish Hockey Women’s National League.

Energy Ethics 2023: Financing the Future (6-8 June 2023)This hybrid, interdisciplinary conference is organised around the themes of time, risk, investment, politics, and infrastructure. EE2023 will bring together hundreds of scholars from around the world for three days of inspiring panels, thought-provoking discussions and fun extra-curricular activities.
Registration is now open. Lunch and coffee breaks are included with in-person delegate packages, and in-person delegates will have the option of signing up for low-cost on-campus accommodation at the time of registration (each room has an en-suite and includes breakfast). We are also arranging child-care options during the conference to enable participation for those with childcare responsibilities.

Alumni Weekend 2023Start the weekend on Friday with a Browse with Fizz at Toppings & Company Booksellers and a Welcome Drinks Reception in Sandy's Bar, followed by live music in the Main Bar. Join us on Saturday for a light lunch and tour of the Laidlaw Music Centre. There's also a wine tasting later that day with wines from around the world (and cheeses to match) in the Beacon Bar, followed by a barbecue. Finish off the weekend on the Sunday with the traditional Chapel Service and pier walk, followed by an interdisciplinary panel discussion about the 'What makes us human' exhibition at the Wardlaw Museum. Residential accommodation is available with a special alumni discount, subject to availability. |

General CouncilThe next meeting of the General Council of the University of St Andrews will take place on Saturday 17 June 2023 at 10.30am in Parliament Hall. The Chancellor, Lord Campbell of Pittenweem, will preside, and the Principal, Professor Dame Sally Mapstone, will deliver the University Address. We are also delighted to be joined by Dr Rebekah Widdowfield, Vice-Principal (People and Diversity), who will present on Diverse St Andrews, one of the key pillars of the University's Strategy.
General Council members will be sent a link to the billet (meeting paper) before the meeting. Printed copies of the billet will be available at the meeting and can also be requested in advance from the General Council Office. |
