St Andrews wins Green Gown Awards The University of St Andrews has won the Sustainability Institution of the Year and Student Engagement categories at the recent 2021 Green Gown Awards.
Hydrogen train showcased for COP26 The University’s hydrogen train project – part of the work led by Professor John Irvine’s Hydrogen Accelerator team in the School of Chemistry – was showcased during COP26.
Saints Walks This month's Saints Walk is all about rekindling memories of our beautiful mediaeval town in all its twilight splendour. The walk starts at St Salvator's Quad before cutting across North Street, Market Street and South Street to end at St Mary's Quad.
St Andrews Alumni Carol Service Join us in person or online for this year’s St Andrews Alumni Carol Service on Monday 6 December at 7pm in St Salvator’s Chapel. The Service will be conducted by the University Assistant Chaplain –The Revd Samantha Ferguson – and the carols led by the University of St Andrews Renaissance Singers.
To join in person, register online and provide a contact telephone number (for Test and Protect purposes). It should be noted that a facial covering will be required to be worn unless you are exempt.
To join online, visit the Chaplaincy’s website at 7pm (GMT) on Monday 6 December, select ‘Livestreamed services’ and then the ‘View livestream’ link. There’s a link on the same page to download an Order of Service.
London Alumni Carol Service We are delighted to announce the return of the annual London Christmas Carol Service at St Columba’s Church, Pont Street on Wednesday 15 December 2021 at 7pm. Doors open from 6.15pm.
University of St Andrews Open Experience Calling all alumni, friends and supporters: booking is now open for the supplementary programme of activities during the 150th Open at St Andrews 2022.
SaintsFunder This month’s spotlight falls on the new Saints Coastal Rowing project. Thanks to generous donor support, Saints Rowing raised enough funds through their first appeal to buy new boats for the club. In this next appeal they aim to build on their recent success and encourage the wider community to participate in coastal rowing.
Thanks also to the donors of the Blue Angels Bursary project. With your help, they have awarded three full and three partial bursaries.

Autumn Meeting of the General Council The next meeting of the General Council of the University of St Andrews will take place in person on Saturday 27 November at 10.30am in Parliament Hall, South Street, St Andrews KY16 9JU.
Numbers in Parliament Hall are limited and entry is by pre-registration. We are currently operating a waiting list as we have reached capacity for pre-registration. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list in the event of a cancellation, please email generalcouncil@st-andrews.ac.uk. For those unable to attend, the text of the Principal's address will be published on the General Council webpage. We hope to be able to return to normal room capacities for next summer's meeting.
