Still Me...
Maggie Mackay, MA Hons 1975
All Write Then, a group of thirteen emerging writers, has launched Still Me… their first anthology of poems and short stories. Still Me… is a collection inspired by the themes of love, loss and laughter with all profits donated to The Alzheimer’s Society.
The book opens with a foreword from the creator of Downton Abbey, award-winning writer Julian Fellowes. Fife based writer, group member and graduate of the University of St Andrews, Maggie Mackay said “We’re thrilled to have Julian Fellowes’ backing for our project; it’s a great vote of confidence.
It will help us raise lots of money for the Alzheimer’s Society, which performs such great work supporting the 800,000 people in the UK who suffer from the disease, and their carers.” All Write Then came together during a 2012 Open University Creative Writing course. Discovering a shared love of poetry, prose and all points in-between, they have stayed in touch and produced Still Me… now published by the respected independent publisher Pewter Rose Press.
Still Me… is available to buy now at the RRP of £8 from www.pewter-rose-press.com.
