Students are offered unique internship opportunities through the Australian National Internship Programme, which allows exchange students to take credit-bearing research placements at local government agencies, embassies, NGOs, peak body organisations, think tanks and research centres based in Australia's capital.

ANU usually offer accomodation to all students applying before the deadline.

The estimated average cost of living in Canberra is AU$501 -$784 per week (dependent on residence and room type). This typically covers accommodation, food, utilities, and entertainment. Insurance
Health Insurance Requirements: Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a compulsory requirement for obtaining an Australian student visa. In 2022, the cost for one semester (6 months coverage) was AU$348 and the cost for two semesters (15 months coverage) was AU$813. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
