- Chapel Hire
- Minister: University Chaplain, Assistant Chaplain, or minister appointed by the Chaplaincy office.
- University Organist
- Administration
- VAT
- Light and Heat
- Janitorial Services
- Parking: Refer to the 'Parking' section of the Wedding Guidelines.
Please note:
- There is no reduction in fees if you bring your own minister or organist.
- The fees do not include flowers, bells, or choirs.
For comprehensive information on payment and cancellation policies, refer 'Wedding Payment Policy in the Wedding Guidelines.
To qualify for the current staff or current student discounted rates, you must be a registered member of staff or a student of the University at the time of making the booking.
The wedding year runs from 1st August to 31st July.
Chapel bells
St Salvator’s Chapel has six bells. These are available to be rung for weddings, although this is contingent on the availability of bell ringers.
If your wedding falls within University term, bell ringers are fairly easy to obtain from the student population, but during holiday periods this can more difficult. Please contact the bell ringers direct at bellringers@st-andrews.ac.uk for more information.
This price is for the current academic year only. Advance booking does not guarantee this price. Should prices increase, this will be reflected in the final balance owing.
Bellringing fees
Bellringing fees: St Salvator’s Chapel only based on 6 bells: £220, subject to increase from 1 August 2024.
Choirs
A wedding choir consists of between four and eight singers. Based on 8 singers the rate is £560, subject to increase from 1 August 2024.
Further information on the Choir, it's availability, and who to contact to make a booking request can be found within Music section of the Wedding Guidelines.
Once confirmed payment can be made via the University Online Shop.
Recording
You must consult the organist or choir master if a video or audio recording is to be made of your ceremony. Recorded material is subject to copyright law and as such the organist and choir are entitled to a fee for recording their performance. Please contact the Chaplaincy by emailing chaplaincy@st-andrews.ac.uk to obtain details of fees and how to make a payment.
