Booking your wedding
To reserve your preferred date and time at one of the University Chapels, St Salvator’s or St Leonard’s, please follow these steps:

Eligibility: Ensure that you fall into one of the specific eligibility categories before making a booking inquiry. Refer to the Eligibility section of the Wedding Guidelines.

Chapel Availability: To find a suitable date, we recommend that you first check our Chapel Availability webpage.

Provisional Booking: We recommend having a provisional booking in place at least 12 weeks before your intended wedding date. This aligns with the time frame required to submit your Marriage Notice (Form M10) to the Registrar. Further information on the legal process can be found in the 'Guidance on Marriage Notice and Registration Procedures' section of the Wedding Guidelines.

Provisional Hold: Once your preferred date, time, and venue are agreed upon, your booking will be held provisionally, without payment, for four weeks.
Securing Your Wedding Booking:

Deposit: Submit a non-refundable deposit of £200 via the University Online Shop. Additional details on the Wedding Payment Policy can be found in the Wedding Guidelines.

Booking Form: Complete the Wedding Booking Form and email it to the Chaplaincy. Form can be found in the related documents section of the Booking your wedding webpage.
After completing both steps, you can expect to receive a confirmation letter within three weeks.
