Research areas

I am an applied economist with research interests in financial regulation, banking, political economy, law and economics, economic history, macro-finance, and international macroeconomics and finance.

My research can be split into three large areas: Financial Regulatory Cycle; Political Economy of U.S. Financial Regulation; and Macro-Finance.

1) One of my research strands focus on U.S. financial regulation and its cyclicality.

2) Another strand focus on the political economy of U.S. financial regulation. It studies how political factors influence financial regulation.

3) Finally, I am also studying macro-financial issues. More specifically, I am studying the link between credit cycles, financial crises and medium-term economic growth.
