Biography

I received my BSc in Economics from the University of York, my MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and PhD in Economics from the University of Gothenburg. I have held tenured positions at the University of Gothenburg and the University of Stirling and visiting positions at the NTNU School of Business and Universidad de Antioquia. I joined the School in St Andrews in the fall of 2022. Before joining St Andrews, I held an appointment as Professor of Economics and Director of the Behavioural Science Centre at the University of Stirling. 

I am a Research Ethics Panel member of the UK Financial Conduct Authority. I am also involved in the NERC funded SPACES project, in the design of interventions aiming to improve waste management in Tanzania and Malawi.
