Dr Anthi Andronikou's monograph wins the “Maria S. Theocharis Award”
Dr Anthi Andronikou’s monograph Italy, Cyprus, and Artistic Exchange in the Medieval Mediterranean (Cambridge University Press, 2022) has won the “Maria S. Theocharis Award”, a biennial international prize granted by CHAE (Christian and Archaeological Society), Greece’s oldest and most prestigious Society for Byzantine Studies. Established by the Periklis S. Theocharis Foundation, this international award offers €2,000 for the best scholarly work in the field of Byzantine and post-Byzantine art. The Award Committee and the Board of the CHAE unanimously decided to offer the award to the book, “an innovative and significant study that makes a major contribution to the critical analysis of art and cultural exchanges in the medieval Mediterranean.”
