Come visit the Maud Sulter exhibition in the School of Art History reception!
The work Memories of Veils and Kisses, by Scottish-Ghanaian artist Maud Sulter, is currently being displayed in the Art History foyer alongside objects from Sulter’s creative practice. This is part of a curatorial intervention on Sulter’s Significant Others series by students from the Museum and Gallery Studies course, investigating her exploration of familial memory and the photographic medium. The series was acquired for the Harry and Margery Boswell Collection in 2019. Other works in the series are on rotation at the Wardlaw Museum over the next two years.
Dr Catherine Spencer, from the School of Art History, will be delivering a symposium on the series at the Glasgow Women’s Library on the 1st of June. More information on the intervention can be found here.
