Home / Visiting PhD Students, Postdoctoral Fellows, Senior Scholars

Arché welcomes applications to make research visits from scholars of excellence at all stages of the profession, especially those with active interests in our current projects. Proposed visits may be for anything from a few days to a full academic session. Visiting scholars are expected to participate in departmental and research-centre activities during their visit, engage collaboratively with academic staff and students, and present their research to staff and students.

Applicants should be aware that while every effort will be made to provide visitors with office accommodation within the Arché buildings, priority in this regard is given to our graduate students, postdocs and stipendiary fellows, and limitations of space mean we cannot always provide for our visitors in house.

Arché accepts visitors during its two academic sessions:

  • Arche Semester 1:   12 September – 16 December
  • Arché Semester 2:   27 March – 7 July

All prospective visitors should apply via the Department’s Visiting Scholars page.

If you require any further information, or would like to make an informal inquiry, please contact our office manager.
