Arché has been awarded major AHRC funding of £664,370 for a 5-year research project on Basic Knowledge, commencing September 2007. The project will be run along the Centre’s standard lines, with the appointment of dedicated postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, and an associated international network of scholars and programme of research visitors with interests in the field. Enquiries and expressions of interest are invited – please email arche@st-andrews.ac.uk. To read more about the projected research go the Basic Knowledge project website.
The project will be run in collaboration with the ANU-Arché Epistemic Warrant project.
This latest award brings to approximately £2.5 million the total sum invested in Arché by external competitive research funding bodies since the Centre’s inauguration in 1998. We once again express most grateful thanks to all our sponsors.
