International gathering on sustainability accounting and reporting

5 March 2024

The University of St Andrews Business School will welcome members of the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR) for the 34th CSEAR International Congress, to be held from Tuesday 27 August to Thursday 29 August 2024.

This residential conference is a gathering of academics, practitioners and researchers. The focus is on the teaching, research, theory and practice of social, environmental and sustainability accounting and reporting. The spirit of the conference is interdisciplinary and submissions have been invited from perspectives beyond accounting.

The conference will be preceded by two events which will take place on Monday 26 August 2024:

  • 11th Emerging Scholars Colloquium, an opportunity for emerging scholars in social and environmental accounting (SEA) research to present and discuss their research projects alongside a cohort of distinguished international faculty
  • CSEAR Education Community of Practice (ECoP) in-person workshop on the theme of 'Innovative practices to embed sustainability in the accounting curriculum'.
